D A Nelson

Okay, so we’re a week into the New Year as I write this, but I’ve honestly been really busy, which is why it’s taken me seven days to wish you all a Happy New Year.

Things are going fine in the household and I’ve nothing much to report on anything as we’ve barely been over the threshhold because the weather has been so bad. The most exciting thing is we’ve done is buy a buggy board for the pram which allows the toddler to cadge a lift on the pram whilst we’re out. It’s great: she gets to ride the pram looking like Caesar on his chariot while we get to push the pram (with its added toddler weight) in the knowledge that she’s safely contained on the buggy board and within grabbing distance (if you’re a parent reading this, you know what I mean; if you’re a child reading this, I hope you’ve experienced the pleasures of a buggy board…it looks like great fun, although I don’t think I could get away with trying it out!).

On the book front, I’ve been working away at book 2 and broken the 70,000 word threshhold, although that doesn’t mean - after the editing process - it’s going to be as long as that. However, as I’m still a bit away from finishing, I reckon the book will be at least that long.
Anyway, that’s my not very exciting news for the moment. I promise I will try and come up with something better for the next blog, even if I have to make it up!
Dawn x
